Vincze János itt
látható 22 fekete-fehér fotográfiája az 1970-es évek végén, a 80-as évek elején
készült Kecskemét belvárosában, a Dunaföldvárra vezető út Nagytemplom mögötti,
furcsán kanyarodó részén, - amit a népnyelvben némi feketehumorral
"Don-kanyarnak" emlegettek - és a kapcsolódó kis utcácskákban. Az akkori
várostervezés bontásra ítélte az épületeket, utcákat, így ezek ma már nem
láthatók.
A kiállítás fotói először 1998. november 20-án kerültek bemutatásra,
a Tudomány és Technika Házában, a Rotary Asztaltársaság kecskeméti csoportjának
szervezésében. Jelen kiállítással egyidőben, 1999. április 12-én 14 órakor
nyílik meg a Szent-Györgyi Albert Egészségügyi és Szociális Szakközépiskola és
Szakképző Intézetben (6000 Kecskemét, Nyíri út 73.) a fotográfiák „nem
virtuális” kiállítása, mely április 23-ig, hétköznapokon 9-18 óráig tekinthető
meg.
A kiállítás kapcsolódik a 2. Országos Fotóhetek (exponált világ)
rendezvényeihez.
Távlati terveink közé tartozik, hogy Vincze János fotográfiáiból
életmű kiállítást rendezünk az Interneten, melynek egyik részét képezné ezen 22
kép.

These pictures of
János Vincze, 22 black and white photographs, were taken at the end of the 1970’s and
the beginning of the 1980’s. In this period that strange bend of the street leading
towards Dunaföldvár and located behind the city’s main catholic church called the
Great Church, was humorously nicknamed by the city’s black humorists as the
"Don-Bend". Sad to say, the city planers, looking into the future decided to
demolish the quaint little winding streets of these unique part of the city. Ends, the
visitor will be unable to find them today. Alas, what pity!
These photographs were first displayed on the 30th of
November 1998 at an exhibition organised by the Kecskemét Rotary Club at the Local House
of Sciences and Technology. Concurrent with the computerised version you are looking at
there will be a live exhibition of these same photographs. The opening will be on April 12th
1999, beginning at 14.00 hours. The location will be the Albert Szent-Györgyi School of
Health, (H-6000 Kecskemét, Nyíri Street 73.) running till April 23rd 1999.
During workdays the gallery will be open from 9.00 to 18.00 hours.
This exhibition will be part of the greater Second National Photo Weeks
and titled "The World Exposed".
Our long term plans include a János Vincze life-works exhibition on
Internet, a part of which will be made up of the 22 photographs you are looking at now.
